Custom Cover Company, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd
Last updated: 6 September 2026. This policy is provided for information. Please have it reviewed by a qualified adviser before launch.
This site keeps a small amount of information in your browser so your basket works. That part is essential and cannot be switched off. Anything beyond that, which for us means Google Analytics, only runs if you say yes.
We do this because the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require your consent before non-essential storage is used, and the UK GDPR governs how we handle any personal data that results.
These are stored by your own browser using local storage rather than traditional cookies. They stay on your device, we cannot read them remotely, and they are not shared with anyone.
| Name | Purpose |
|---|---|
ccc_cart | Remembers what is in your basket between pages and visits. |
ccc_pending_cart | Holds your basket while you are being redirected to the payment provider. |
ccc_pending_customer | Holds your delivery details through checkout so they are not lost on redirect. |
ccc_discount | Remembers a discount code you have applied. |
ccc_cookie_consent | Remembers the choice you made on the cookie banner. |
If you choose "Accept analytics" we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they arrived. We use it to understand demand and improve the site.
If you choose "Essential only", or if you simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Google acts as our processor for this data. Their own information is published at policies.google.com.
When you pay, you are handed to Stripe or PayPal, who set their own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Those are necessary to take a payment. We never see or store your full card details.
You can change your choice at any time.
You can also clear cookies and site data for this website in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Blocking essential storage will stop the basket working.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
